There are three water pressure zones in the project area, 410-foot, 550-foot, and 713-foot. Providing water for the 410-foot zone is relatively straightforward. Transmission lines can be built incrementally by development from either the north or south. There is only a very small area within the 713-foot pressure zone, and it can be easily served by extending existing adjacent water lines.

The 550-foot zone, on the other hand, is more challenging because the preferred alternative requires the construction of a new reservoir. The city is working to get this in its Capital Improvement Plan and is exploring a variety of options to allow early development in this zone to be temporarily served by an existing, yet undersized, reservoir.
