Tigard City Council will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, May 19, 2015, at 7:30 p.m. to continue discussions about developer fees (known as system development charges or SDCs) for parks and trails in Tigard.

The proposal before Council includes:

  • An updated citywide Parks & Recreation SDC.
  • A new River Terrace Parks & Recreation SDC to address the unique park & recreation needs in River Terrace.

In response to concerns from stakeholders at the first hearing held on April 28, 2015, city staff met with developers to revise the proposal.

After better understanding stakeholder concerns, city staff will propose revisions to the Parks SDC Methodology Report.  If Council chooses to approve these revisions, the total Parks SDC fees paid by developers are shown in the table below.
Parks SDCA memo previewing this updated proposal is now available online.

Background for this meeting, including a link to the April 28, 2015 SDC proposal, is available on the city’s Public Hearing page.
